Trip Taxis is a fresh, locally rooted Irish taxi company with a mission to make every journey simple, reliable, and friendly. drawinginc was commissioned to create the brand from the ground up including the name, visual identity, vehicle livery, advertising, website, and merchandise. Our goal was to build a brand that feels modern, trustworthy, and distinctly Irish – something that locals would instantly recognise and feel good about calling. NAMING The naming process began with a focus on clarity, memorability and a touch of Irish character. We wanted a name that was: 1. Short and punchy – easy to say and remember. 2. Connected to the service –immediately suggests travel or movement. 3. Friendly and versatile – works across print, web, and conversation. Trip Taxis emerged as the clear winner: simple, direct and energetic. The word “Trip” captures both the everyday function (a taxi ride) and the positive experience we wanted to associate with the brand – easy, smooth, enjoyable. BRAND STRATEGY Once the name was in place, we built the brand story around three key values: 1. Local trust – community-first service, rooted in Irish towns and people. 2. Reliability – professional, consistent and dependable every time. 3. Modern simplicity – easy booking through triptaxis.ie, clear communication and a clean design system. This strategy informed every creative decision – from tone of voice to typography and colour. LOGO DESIGN The Trip Taxis logo embodies movement and confidence. We developed a custom wordmark using rounded, contemporary lettering that feels both friendly and solid. Representing direction and progress – instantly recognisable on its own. The colour palette pairs deep teal navy (stability, trust, professionalism) with a fresh Irish green (energy, approachability and local spirit). Together, they form a distinctive visual identity that feels modern yet grounded. VEHICLE GRAPHICS Fleet recognition is crucial for any taxi brand. We designed a bold, high-visibility livery using diagonal shapes inspired by motion and road markings. The combination of green and navy creates instant recognition while maintaining a polished, professional look. Each car proudly carries the Trip colourways and wordmark, making Trip Taxis unmissable on the move. ADVERTISING AND CAMPAIGNS Trip Taxis’ advertising focused on confident simplicity, using short, memorable taglines and a friendly tone: “Your shortcut to the city.” “Your trip, sorted.” “Moving the city forward.” Across digital, outdoor and print media, the visual language stayed consistent – using the signature colour palette, clean type, and bold layouts that stand out in the local landscape. WEBSITE The Trip Taxis website was designed to make booking effortless. – Streamlined navigation for quick calls or online bookings. – Mobile-first design for users on the go. – Unified visuals – the green and navy palette, Trip Arrow iconography and approachable tone. The result is a digital experience that feels every bit as dependable and friendly as the service itself. CLOTHING AND MERCHANDISE To extend the identity, we developed branded uniforms and promotional items: 1. Driver apparel – polos, jackets and sweatshirts featuring the logo and colours. 2. Merchandise – keyrings, mugs, tote bags and signage for brand touchpoints. Every item reinforces the Trip Taxis personality: clean, modern and distinctly Irish.
RESULT
From the name “Trip Taxis” to the fully realised identity system, the brand now has a cohesive, professional presence across all touchpoints – on the road, online and in person. The new look and tone communicate trust, reliability and Irish warmth, helping Trip Taxis stand out as a modern, community-focused taxi brand.
