Digital signage uses technologies such as LCD, LED and even projection to display content, through digital images, video, streaming media and information display. Large digital display installations can be widely seen in public spaces, transportation systems, museums, stadiums, retail outlets, hotels, restaurants and corporate buildings. Digital signage content can be updated frequently through, what is often referred to as a content management system or a digital media distribution system. The content can be disseminated from personal computers and servers or through a national media-hosting provider such as drawinginc.

The innovation doesn’t stop there though. The option to target specific locations with video content, advertisements and/or messages exists to allow to you tailor the delivery of bespoke messages and their timing. This bespoke content can include text, images, animations, video, audio and other interfaces. The content can also be scheduled in advance to accommodate forward planning. Obviously, the digital display option is more expensive than static signage, but the return on investment is maximized if the published content is deemed useful and relevant by your customers. Digital display is attainable from one or more display screens and depending on what message media is required, a variety of hardware is available to operate the functional content display.
