where’s the match?

where’s the match?

A new book is set to become a bible for every GAA club in the capital — helping confused supporters make their way to games on time. The new Where’s The Match? gives detailed directions to every Gaelic football, hurling, ladies football and camogie club in Dublin.

Fingallians GAA club in Swords teamed up with transition-year students Kadee Morgan, Orlaith Power and Gemma Whelan to produce the booklet.

The students spotted that GAA clubs often have their grounds located some distance away from their clubhouses. And supporters eager to see their club play away from home often have to negotiate the streets and roundabouts of the city before they can find the playing pitch.

The Herald has sponsored the book, which contains maps and written directions to all of the GAA pitches in Dublin. Stephen Rae, Editor of the Evening Herald, said: “We are delighted to be involved with the Where’s The Match book. It’s truly innovative and makes the busy lead up to any game less stressful. It will be a great aid for any coach, parent, club or school.”

drawinginc was approached with the idea, and the challege was to deliver the end product that was simple to follow, giving written directions, an ordnance survey map and satellite navigation co-ordinates for each club. The end result is informative, impactful and distinctive.
